Slush machine drapes
Transparent, liquid-proof drapes that line the refrigerated basin and become the sterile container for slush. Auto-stir machines use a drape with a rigid disc bonded to the bottom.
Answer two questions to see which drape your slush machine or fluid warmer takes, what to check on the pack, and how to get pricing on your contract.
Choose your machine to see the drape it needs.
Drapes keep a sterile barrier between the surgical field and anything that isn’t sterile, whether that’s the patient’s skin or a piece of equipment.

In the US, liquid barrier performance for surgical drapes and gowns is rated on four levels under the ANSI/AAMI PB70 standard. Higher levels resist more fluid and pressure.
| Level | Barrier | Typically chosen for |
|---|---|---|
| Level 1 | Minimal | Very low fluid exposure |
| Level 2 | Low | Low fluid exposure |
| Level 3 | Moderate | Moderate fluid exposure |
| Level 4 | Highest, including viral penetration testing | Long, fluid-heavy procedures |
The barrier level is printed on the label of rated products. Your infection prevention team sets which level is required for which procedures.
A drape is only sterile if the pack is intact and the drape matches the equipment.
